The braemar gathering was situated 1 km from this hotel. The beds were great in our room. We had canopy beds and we all slept well. Placed within 60 minutes' car ride to Aberdeen...

The warm welcome and genuine hospitality at this family-run hotel made us feel right at home. the location is fantastic, with a picturesque view of the highlands and the convenience of being on the edge of the village. the food is second to none, beautifully presented and piping hot, with a good variation of options. the staff were pleasant and polite, making our golden wedding anniversary meal a memorable experience.
The reduced menu due to the main chef being on holiday may have limited some dining options.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always happy to offer recommendations for local attractions and events. the food was delicious, cooked to perfection, and the portion sizes were generous. the hotel's location couldn't have been better, as it was just a short walk from the main shopping district and the city's top attractions.
The decor in the hotel was a bit outdated and could use some modernizing. our room was a bit cramped and lacked some of the amenities we were expecting.

The hotel had a very cozy and traditional Scottish decor, which added to the overall charm of the place. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and our room was spacious and clean. We also enjoyed the delicious food served at the restaurant, with a great selection of locally sourced dishes. the breakfast was fantastic, and the staff went out of their way to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
When we tried to address this issue with the owner via email, we felt disregarded and were continuously asked for a phone number, which was not feasible for us at the time.
